The classes and format for Drag Racing at Holley Ford Fest are all new for 2025!
But, as always, this is where the fastest Fords in the country come together to battle it out down the drag strip at Beech Bend Raceway. From quick street cars to some of the most insane machines struggling to keep the front wheels on the ground, the competition will be firing on all cylinders all weekend!
Street Ford Bracket 3
Designed for any domestic or foreign-bodied vehicle with any Ford engine in a 1/4 mile bracket-style dial-in format.
Quick Ford Bracket 2
Designed for any domestic or foreign-bodied vehicle with any Ford engine in a 1/8 mile bracket-style dial-in format as a foot brake class with NO electronics or delay boxes.
Fast Ford Bracket 1
Designed for any domestic or foreign-bodied vehicle with any Ford engine in a 1/8 mile bracket-style dial-in format with electronics or delay boxes permitted.
Godzilla Invasion
A racing class specifically for any Ford Godzilla-powered vehicle in a bracket race dial-in format.
King of the Street Shootout
The top eight (8) True Street finishers are invited to the King of the Street Shootout: a heads-up shootout for the top eight (8) finishers based on the 3-pass True Street average.
King of the Street Shootout Rules
True Street
A racing class for mildly modified to heavily modified high-performance Ford-based street vehicles that are street-certified and able to drive over a 30 mile distance. All Ford vehicles permitted. Any Ford-based engine and any number and/or type of power adders are permitted. Vehicles must be registered, licensed, and insured. There will be trophies and awards for not only the quickest average and runner up, but also for the following: closest averaged ET that is not quicker than the following – 9.00, 10.00, 11.00, 12.00, 13.00, 14.00, and 15.00. Each class winner must fall within its respective ET category; for example 9 9-second winner average must be between 9.00 to 9.99, 10 10-second winner average must be 10.00 to 10.99, and so on for each class winner, etc.
Truck Warz
A heads-up style class designed to showcase Ford engine combinations in any brand of Truck or SUV. Any make/body truck or SUV permitted. Must be powered by a Ford powerplant. Dragsters, roadsters, and altered-style cars are prohibited.
Stick Shift
A class designed to showcase Ford engine combinations using a manual transmission in a 1/4 mile heads-up format. Combinations are required to utilize a clutch assisted “H” pattern shifted transmission.
Super Stang
Designed for mild to medium-modified S197, S550, and S650-body vehicles using a Ford modular OEM 4.6L, Coyote, 5.4L (3v or 4v), V6, or EcoBoost engines only. The Super Stang class will be contested in a dial-your-own elapsed time (E.T.) format, where you must choose before the first round of eliminations. Minimum dial of 14.50.
Truck & SUV
Designed for any year, make, domestic, or foreign-bodied truck or SUV using Ford engines only. SUVs and vans including Explorers, Expeditions, Excursions, vans, etc., are permitted. Dragsters and roadsters prohibited. The Truck & SUV class will run on an open comp format with each competitor's best qualifying ET becoming his/her index for eliminations.
Open Comp
Designed for any domestic or foreign-bodied vehicles using Ford engines only. Dragsters and roadsters prohibited. The Open Comp class will run on an Open Comp format with a one tenth (1/10th) breakout.
Factory Stock
Designed for 1954 and newer Ford-bodied vehicles with naturally aspirated 4.6L, 5.0L, 5.0L Gen I Coyote, Gen II Coyote, and 7.3L Godzilla engines. Maximum engine size is 315 CID for 4.6L, 5.0L, and Coyote combinations. Maximum engine size is 465 CID for the 7.3L Godzilla combination. Entries are limited to certain performance modifications.
Street Bandit
A 10.10 class designed for any domestic or foreign-bodied, Ford-powered combination running the ¼ mile in the 9-10 second range that does not fit into a specific heads-up class. All Entries must be Ford-powered. The simple rules make it easy for entries to have fun on track with their street-type vehicles in Ford Fest Drag Racing.
Street Race 8.60
Designed for any domestic or foreign-bodied fast street-legal Ford-powered combinations that do not fit into a specific heads-up class. The simple rules make it easy for entries to have fun on track with their street vehicles in Ford Fest Drag Racing.
Coyote Stock
A naturally-aspirated heads-up class designed for any domestic or foreign-bodied vehicle using a production OEM sealed Ford Coyote crate engine combined with a factory Ford Racing sealed ECM and installation kit. This helps control the ever-rising expenses associated with competitive heads-up drag racing and allows racers to explore other avenues to gain a performance advantage. All entries must compete on stock suspension and at the same base weight.
Ultra Ford
A heads-up small-tire class designed for any domestic or foreign-bodied American Ford production vehicles utilizing a Ford engine combination. Ford small block and big block engines are limited to the use of a single power adder which is restricted in size to maintain class parity.
Cobra Jet Invitational
Open to any modern or vintage Cobra Jet car (tributes & clones welcome) and it runs on an open-comp format.
